I’m so grateful to have experienced six days at the ashram. What I initially thought would be a yoga retreat turned out to be so much more than that. It helped me understand yoga in a much more holistic way, not simply as a physical practice, but as a way of living, thinking and being. More importantly, this was a space that gave me the time and stillness to reconnect with myself. I became much more mindful of my time, my energy and where I was directing my attention. I left feeling lighter, calmer and with a much better understanding of myself and what truly matters to me. In the midst of an otherwise chaotic life, it was a rare opportunity to simply slow down and be present. A big part of what made the experience so special was the people, the surroundings and the incredible sense of warmth throughout the ashram. I’m leaving with learnings that I hope to carry back into everyday life — and hopefully, a little closer to finding that elusive mental peace. ☮️ I would wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone looking to step away from the noise, reconnect with themselves and explore yoga beyond the physical practice. It’s an experience I’ll carry with me for a long time. 😊🙏Posted on Google![]()

I spent eleven unforgettable days at Abhyasa Yogmath. From my first minutes in the ashram I experienced a feeling of calm and peace. The place is beyond beautiful, and just waking up to the sound of birds singing and watching the green hills covered by the clouds is enough to put you in a contemplative mood. The little house where I was staying was clean and cosy, and it had a veranda facing a garden with ancient rocks (a perfect place for meditation!). I attended an 11 day Silence Retreat, and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The program of the retreat is well planned and brilliantly executed; all the teachers are knowledgeable and attentive to the participants' needs, and the yoga shala is spacious and airy. Some of our meditation practices took place in the space under the temple where a giant rock and a Crystal are located (both are definitely magical), and i felt we were meditating in the heart of the ashram. The food was delicious and varied, and I enjoyed every single bite! So if you are looking for a place to get closer to nature, to spend time practicing yoga and meditation, and to meet wonderful people, Abhyasa is the place to go to!Posted on Google![]()

I had a wonderful time at the nine-day inner sanctuary retreat here. Everybody in the yogmath was lovely and supportive, my teachers were the best I've ever worked with. I wholeheartedly recommend Abhyasa Yogmath to everyone who would like to relax, meditate and do inner work in beautiful natural surroundings.Posted on Google![]()

Abhyasa Yogmath is one of those places where I truly slowed down and reconnected with myself. Surrounded by lush jungle greenery, the ashram has a wonderfully peaceful and grounding atmosphere. Away from the usual hustle and noise of Rishikesh, every corner feels calm, natural, and inviting. What made the experience even more special were the heart-warming sessions, which created a beautiful sense of connection, awareness, and inner peace. The combination of nature, mindful practices, and the warmth of the people makes Abhyasa Yogmath a truly memorable retreat for me. I’m definitely coming back again. 🔆Posted on Google![]()

I came here mainly for a digital detox and to gain better control over my thoughts. I wanted to reconnect my mind and body, find clarity, and prepare myself before stepping into the next important phase of my life. Looking back, this retreat gave me much more than I expected. It was deeply revealing and transformative. It helped me slow down, observe myself without judgment, and become more aware of my patterns, emotions, and the constant noise I had been carrying. I left with a greater sense of inner peace, clarity, and practical tools that I’ll continue to apply in my daily life. A special thank you to Saurabh, Sunit, and Shivani. Your patience, wisdom, and genuine care created such a safe and supportive environment for everyone. The way you taught, listened, and guided us made this experience truly meaningful. I’m sincerely grateful for everything you shared. Thank you for creating such a beautiful space for learning, reflection, and growth. I wholeheartedly recommend this retreat to anyone looking to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with themselves.Posted on Google![]()

A yoga retreat to remember for a lifetime! A brilliant team of kind and skilled people helped me improve my yoga practise. The food was deliscious and nutritious, made with love and served generously. Shivani and Sumit are excellent teachers. The setting is beautiful and I was lucky enough to spend time with the most wonderful dog, Tommy.
